Ireland
One of Dunmore East's true traditional singers, Jimmy Cullinane has been regarded as one of our finest for many
years. Jimmy first hit the scene in the late 60's with popular renditions of “The Hucklebuck”” and “The Old Bog
Road”. He then expanded his repertoire to Hurling and Football match commentaries, and even branched out into
“The Gaeilge” singing old Irish classics like “Killcash”.
Apart from singing Jimmy is a keen follower of GAA sporting activities and especially Waterford Hurling where his
nephew's Sean and Eamonn represented the County on a number of occasions.
Jimmy is seen here singing “The Old Bog Road “at Aggies Pub in Killea (August 2005) with a young Jimmy OG
Fancy enjoying the music in the background.
